  • Delivery fees are subject to change on large orders.
  • Normally 24 hour delivery for Johannesburg and surrounding areas, 3–4 day delivery for outlying areas.
  • Delivery times unfortunately can’t be guaranteed. Be assured your order is on its way and you will be sent a tracking number.
  • Deliveries take place Monday to Friday, unfortunately not over Weekends and Public holidays. All effort is made to prioritise business deliveries according to standard weekday business hours. Please be aware the closing times (08h00 to 15h00 – Monday to Friday) for deliveries are subject to change due to daily road traffic and/or loadshedding.
  • A 15% handling fee plus delivery will be added if the address provided and/or contact details are incorrect or incomplete. Unfortunately it’s not possible to leave deliveries unattended at the recipient’s front door. All efforts will be made to deliver at reception, receiving, security or neighbour. If contact is unavailable, a redelivery will be attempted at a later stage. Should the second attempt fail, a handling fee of 15% plus delivery will be charged prior to redelivery.
  • On international numbers, no liability can be attributed for late or non-delivery.
  • For security reasons, messages may be sent to the recipient before delivery to let them know to expect delivery.
  • If you’ve ordered separately more than one item, each may be delivered separately at an extra delivery cost.
  • Due to 3rd party delivery; and delivery requires extended road trip to get to the door of your choice, a surcharge may be charged as an additional delivery fee if it is outside the normal delivery range.
  • Any payments, paid by direct deposit, requires a proof of payment and has to reflect in our account before an order can be released. This may affect the delivery date you have chosen. Therefore; please email your proof of payment to info@proteacafe.co.za or; in order to prevent any unwanted delays, payment via credit card / Payfast / PayGate is recommended.
  • Exchanges can be arranged inclusive of a handling fee and delivery charge, if you’ve changed your mind and wish to cancel or change your order when the order has already left the warehouse.
  • Refunds can only be given to the account holder.
  • Please break the delivery seal/packaging and check the contents of your delivery in the presence of the driver or as soon as you collect from locker to see if everything is in perfect condition. If there are any discrepancies with your delivery, it must be recorded on the driver’s delivery sheet in your presence or immediately reported to info@proteacafe.co.za within 24 hours so the order may be re-delivered or refunded as appropriate.
  • If ordered items are not perfect and you are not 100% satisfied, contact info@proteacafe.co.za within 24 hours. Within valid reasoning, the item will be collected and replaced/refunded at no expense to you. If the incorrect product is delivered to you, do not remove the product from its original packaging, tamper with or use the product in any way. Should product have been tampered with in any way and is not in perfect condition as delivered, you will be liable for the purchase price.
  • A charge of up to 100% reproduction charge to produce a Branded/Personalised change or replacement; in the event that production has already been started and or completed.
  • Delivered products may vary in appearance when compared to images on website. This is due to the nature of the product/s.
  • Taste may vary from time to time on various items due to manufacture/production of natural products.
  • In accordance with the POPI-Act (Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013), the purpose of our privacy policy is that Protea Café will not give/distribute/use your personal information, except for personal communication with you.
  • We respect your privacy and take the protection of your personal information very seriously.
  • Any notice to be served, by either party to the other must be in writing and will be sent by email to the relevant party to this agreement at its respective address as specified on the application for registration on this site info@proteacafe.co.za.
  • Protea Café reserves the right to contact recipients for surveys and promotional purposes; communication, such as email, SMS or WhatsApp or any direct marketing communications we may send to you.
  • You have the right to request that we no longer contact you for the purposes of direct marketing by any form of electronic communication.
  • The contents of Protea Café, including any material, information, data, software, icons, text, graphics, layouts, images, advertisements, video clips, trade names, logos, designs, photos and service marks which are displayed on or incorporated in the website are protected by law, including but not limited to copyright and trademark law. The website content is the property of Protea Café, its advertisers and/or sponsors.
